American Football being Introduced in Buganda Kingdom

The Head Teacher  Mis. Nampija Immaculate through Mr. Kasumba, Head of Sports reveals that Lubiri High School is one of Uganda’s historic and strategically positioned secondary schools located in the heart of Mengo, Kampala. 1. Inclusivity and Opportunity

• A Sport for Everyone: Unlike traditional soccer, which often prioritizes existing skill and quality, American football is promoted as a game that gives every student a chance to play and discover their unique athletic potential.
• Safety First: The focus in schools is on Flag Football, a non-contact version of the sport designed for safety and to make the game accessible to both boys and girls. 

2. Academic and Language Benefits

• Educational Integration: Because the sport’s technical terms (e.g., touchdown, quarterback, linebacker) are in English, it is often introduced as a tool to help students improve their English language interpretation and communication skills.
• Discipline and Strategy: The game is used to teach life skills such as strategic planning, teamwork, and discipline, mirroring the "Football for Schools
