The event titled “American Football Introduced at Buganda Institutions” showcased the education for coaches in launching of the sport within Buganda’s higher-learning community. During the ceremony, Coach Imran known as Grace Imran Ssumujju, Founder, CEO, and Executive Director of Marketing and International Relations for Nakawa American Football Association (NAFA) and Nakawa Buccaneers American Football Club, met the Dean of Students and Sports tutor highlighted the sport’s value in promoting discipline, teamwork, and new athletic opportunities. Participants learned about the its new coming programs especially learning game rules and educational benefits of American football, emphasizing how it can expand co-curricular options at Buganda Royal Institute and inspire students to explore a modern, globally recognized sport.

The University of Alabama is renowned for producing top NFL talent, largely due to legendary coach Nick Saban’s leadership. The Crimson Tide has consistently developed elite players, especially in defense and quarterback roles. Alabama’s NFL alumni include stars like Derrick Henry, Julio Jones, and Tua Tagovailoa. The program’s success in the SEC, one of the most competitive conferences, prepares players to perform at the professional level. With multiple national championships under its belt, Alabama remains a powerhouse pipeline to the NFL, combining rigorous training, top facilities, and strong exposure to NFL scouts
